Daily Reset.

You don’t have to sum up your whole life. Start with today. Choose one question, write a little, and stop whenever you like.

  1. What took more of your attention today than you expected?
  2. When did you feel most like yourself, even for a minute?
  3. What can stay unfinished tonight?
  4. What do you want to make a little more room for tomorrow?
  5. What is one small thing you could do to help that happen?

Right now, I’m thinking about…

A list, a messy sentence, a drawing. Your page, your way.

Ideas Worth Keeping.

An idea can be unfinished, impractical or just for you. Give it a little space before deciding what to do with it.

  1. What idea keeps finding its way back to you?
  2. What have you noticed that makes this idea worth exploring?
  3. What would its roughest, simplest version look like?
  4. Which assumption about it might be worth questioning?
  5. What small experiment could teach you something about it?

What if…

No pitch. No audience required. You can let an idea grow on paper.

Little Things.

Notice something specific. It doesn’t have to make the whole day good. One detail is enough, and it’s okay if nothing comes to mind.

  1. What small detail made you stop and look today?
  2. Who made part of your day a little lighter, and how?
  3. What ordinary thing would you miss if it were gone?
  4. What is something you did that you’d like to give yourself credit for?
  5. What would you like to slow down and notice again?

One little thing I want to remember…

You don’t have to turn a difficult day into a good story.

Letters & Life Stories.

Write to someone, to your future self, or simply to remember. The letter can stay with you. A life story can begin with one moment.

  1. Which person, place or moment would you like to put on paper?
  2. What sound, smell or tiny detail brings that memory back?
  3. What do you understand about that time now that you didn’t then?
  4. What would you like someone you love to know, in your own words?
  5. What might your future self want to remember about today?

I want you to know…

Keep it, give it, revisit it. You decide what happens next.
